Fujiyama Power Systems Limited has secured approval to set up a 1.2 GW TopCon solar cell manufacturing facility at its Ratlam plant in Madhya Pradesh.
The project involves an estimated investment of Rs 3.5 billion and will be financed through a combination of debt and internal accruals.
The new manufacturing unit forms part of the company’s backward integration and technology upgradation plans aimed at strengthening its position across the solar value chain. Commercial operations at the facility are expected to commence in the first quarter of FY2028.
The proposed plant is expected to enhance Fujiyama’s integrated solar manufacturing capabilities and support the growing domestic demand for advanced solar technologies.
Earlier this month, the company commissioned a 2,000 MW solar panel manufacturing facility in Ratlam as part of its greenfield manufacturing expansion programme in Madhya Pradesh.
