Powerica Limited has incorporated Whisperwind Renewable Private Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary to expand its renewable energy business. The new entity will develop wind, solar and hybrid projects across India, reinforcing the company's clean energy growth strategy.
Powerica Limited has incorporated Whisperwind Renewable Private Limited (WRPL) as a wholly owned subsidiary to strengthen its presence in India’s renewable energy sector. The new entity, approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, became operational on June 27, 2026.
WRPL has been established to develop, construct, own and operate renewable energy projects across the wind, solar and hybrid segments. Its scope of activities includes the development of wind power projects, wind parks, solar power plants, wind-solar hybrid projects and other clean energy initiatives, along with power generation and allied renewable energy operations.
Powerica Limited holds 100% of WRPL’s paid-up share capital, comprising 2,50,000 equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each, representing a total investment of Rs 25 lakh. The subscription has been made entirely in cash, making WRPL a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
The incorporation follows a similar move by Powerica a day earlier. On June 26, 2026, the company incorporated another wholly owned subsidiary, Windfusion Renewable Private Limited, to develop renewable energy projects across the wind, solar and hybrid sectors, reflecting its strategy to expand its multi-state renewable energy portfolio.
