Powerica Limited has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of a 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat.
Under the agreement, the project will supply electricity to GUVNL at a tariff of ₹3.435 per kWh and is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
The agreement strengthens Powerica’s renewable energy portfolio in Gujarat and supports the state’s continued expansion of utility-scale wind power capacity.
Earlier, in July 2026, GUVNL announced the winners of its 250 MW grid-connected wind power auction (Phase XI). NLC India Renewables secured 100 MW, while Juniper Green Energy and Powerica won 50 MW each, with all three projects awarded at a tariff of ₹3.51 per kWh. Cu-Built Renewable Energy secured the remaining 50 MW at a tariff of ₹3.52 per kWh.
Also in July 2026, SJVN signed PPAs with GUVNL for the supply of green power from three hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh: the 66 MW Dhaulasidh, 210 MW Luhri Stage-I, and 382 MW Sunni Dam hydroelectric projects.
