ACME Solar Signs 300 MW Hybrid PPA with SECI

ACME Solar has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with SECI for a 300 MW wind-solar hybrid project at a tariff of ₹3.25 per kWh.

ACME Renewtech Fifth Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 300 MW wind-solar hybrid project under Hybrid Tranche IX.

The project has been awarded at a tariff of ₹3.25 per kWh, with commercial power supply scheduled to commence in June 2028.

Under the agreement, ACME Solar will maintain a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 30%. The project will be connected to Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) substations and will utilise the company’s already secured grid connectivity in high-solar-irradiation and wind-resource zones, thereby supporting efficient renewable energy generation.

The project further strengthens ACME Solar’s growing hybrid renewable energy portfolio as developers increasingly combine solar and wind assets to improve generation profiles and optimise grid utilisation.

Earlier this month, ACME Solar secured long-term project financing of ₹26.46 billion from REC Limited for its 450 MW/1,800 MWh assured peak power project being developed through its subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited. REC will act as the sole lender for the project, providing financing over a 20-year tenure to support its development and construction.

The latest PPA reinforces ACME Solar’s position in India’s expanding hybrid renewable energy market, where integrated wind-solar projects are expected to play an increasingly important role in delivering reliable clean power while supporting the country’s renewable energy capacity addition targets.
