Over the past year, Lineage Power has manufactured more than 300 utility-scale BESS containers, representing approximately 1.5 GWh of energy storage capacity. The expanded facility is expected to enhance delivery capabilities, improve operational efficiency and strengthen supply chain responsiveness.

Battery energy storage systems are playing an increasingly important role in India’s clean energy transition by balancing variable solar and wind generation, improving grid stability, enabling peak load management and supporting higher renewable energy integration.

The capacity expansion also aligns with the growing emphasis on domestic manufacturing and localisation in India’s energy storage sector. By strengthening its in-house manufacturing capabilities, Pace Digitek aims to enhance its integrated BESS value chain across manufacturing, system integration, project execution and long-term operations.

With utilities, renewable energy developers and industrial consumers increasingly investing in energy storage, the expanded manufacturing footprint positions the company to benefit from India’s rapidly growing battery storage market while supporting the country’s long-term renewable energy and grid flexibility objectives.
